This course Strategic Presentation has taught me several skills that I can continue to use. The main thing I take away from this course is learning how to create and manage a WordPress website. This was a great thing for me to learn how to do because I had a great amount of fun on it. I did a topic I wanted to do and that made me want to keep posting to my site. On my website, I was covering sports. Sports is a passion of mine so whenever I made a post, it wasn’t too hard to do, and it also was something I truly wanted to talk about. When creating a WordPress, it was a process that consisted of several steps that took time. These steps helped me make sure my website was properly organized and layed out so it would be easier for my audience to use. Another tool I learned in this course is how to make a podcast. I am interested in podcasting in the future and this course gave me a taste of it. I would also like to cover sports there. All of my podcasts were posted to Soundcloud, and that is one of the largest audio platforms for everyone around the world. We also made a video in this course about our blog sites and I feel like that gave me another look at how I can produce my work to the world. What made me work even harder is the feedback I would get from my group members and classmates as we would work together in group work as well as class discussions. Receiving feedback is a great lesson each time as it allows me to improve. Also, whenever we covered a topic, there would be a reading attached to the topic. These readings we would have to read and refer to provided me with a different insight on the topic. These readings would include ways to improve our knowledge on the provided topic. All in all, this course provided me with more skills than I came in with. This course provided all the ways I can produce some quality work into the media. Last but not least, I gained experience. Some of the skills that I learned in this course will allow me to excel in future courses I take.
